Rumor has it that if all the bees in the world died, people would soon follow. This is based on the assumption that without them pollinating the world’s crops, we would soon go hungry, and therefore go extinct. I don’t know that it’s really been proven, but the idea is somewhat intriguing. If this indeed is true, then the renewal of life that this bee brings is amazing. But I will tell you now… It doesn’t really matter to me how important they are to my food chain. This little booger tries to sting me, and it’s history. 🙂
