Kansas Prairie Grass

I love Kansas. Lots of people say that Kansas is flat and boring. There are parts that are flat, and some parts that are boring, but the lighting, the storms and sunsets we get, and the contrasts throughout the seasons is stunning, and always brings something new every day. I usually say that in Kansas, “If you don’t like the weather, wait a few minutes”. The day I took this photo, the weather was “warm” for December (it was in the mid 50’s farenheit), but it was overcast and a little breezy. While walking around the Governor’s House in Topeka, Kansas, I sat down among some of the prairie grass and took this photo. The darker trees and house in the distance really made the grass stand out, and the coloring of the sky gave another level of contrast I enjoyed. I hope you all enjoy it as well!
