In Memorium…

Today is hard. Our cat, Elora Danon, evidently had a stroke a month or so ago, and has been steadily declining. She was a fiercely loyal cat, ever vigilant against a potential intruder (even the welcome ones). We always joked about her being our attack cat, because she would look all innocent and friendly, and then she would attack without mercy. I remember one time she chased a good friend of mine through our basement, and Elora had her backed into a corner. That story will always bring a chuckle to my belly and a tear of joy to my eye. Today was a tough decision we had to make, but because of the personal joy and love she brought to me, I wanted to share some photos of her with you all. I hope you enjoy, and always remember to love the animals around you, because they will love you no matter what you do, and will bring you comfort in times of need. R.I.P., Elora. You are forever loved and will be missed.

  1. Elora will be missed. As I scrolled through the pictures I was so sorry that she only had one summer to enjoy the screened- in porch. She so loved the freedom the porch brought her. As long as she was in the family, we were just now becoming friends:). She always wanted me to turn on the water for her when I spent the night. That’s how we bonded. I will never forget getting too close to her in the hallway and she thumped my leg. Anyway these are some of the memories of my grand cat. Wish we had had more time with her.
