July of 2011, my wife’s family and I went to South Dakota to Mount Rushmore for the Fourth of July. On the way, we stopped by Chimney Rock near Bayard, Nebraska. Chimney Rock was a major landmark on some of the trails West. Reaching out of the plains of Western Nebraska, it caused me to think back to the way things were, and the hardships that pioneers faced in their treks to the West. I felt that the Black and White really made it stand out and seem much more stark, which really added to the way I felt when I was there. Hope you all enjoy!
