This post serves a dual purpose for me. First, it hits a weekly photo challenge, and second, it makes me want Spring even more. Fitting, as tomorrow will be the first day of Spring.
I took this photo last May, when our flowers were in full bloom. These irises, which we got from some of our old neighbors, are so dark that they almost appear black. The textures and subtle color changes throughout made it clear to me that a close up was the best for showing all the nuances for these flowers. I love the signs of Spring, and am definitely ready for that to happen this year! Hope you all enjoy!
Tonight, my wife and I were driving home from the store. We had just gotten a big snow storm through the area, and it was starting to finally melt off. We were getting light flurries this evening, and the clouds, with the snow and the sun made for some very interesting contrast. I only had my phone with me, so I had to make do for the picture. Hope you enjoy!
I love the cold and the snow. But now that we’ve had a couple of big snows and the weather man is predicting weather in the 60s by the end of the week, my thoughts have turned towards outdoor activities, namely golf. I am ready for some shorts and short-sleeved-shirt weather, along with hitting the links with my friends. Hope you enjoy the photo for today!
