This week’s photo challenge is Geometry. Different shapes working together to form the inner workings of a Railroad Crossing Arm, all working to provide the movement to keep people safer around trains. Beautiful and functional, the shapes all blend together.
Railroad Crossing Arm
I was out driving around today, taking some pictures and enjoying the wonderful weather we were having, and decided to go get some pictures of a train bridge and the tracks. My buddy and I climbed through the creek bed and up onto the bridge (after looking around underneath the bridge). I took quite a few pictures, and then saw this one. I hope you all enjoy it!
Waiting on the train
Trains have always fascinated me. Maybe because of my days as a youth, feeling the power as they roll through town, having my dad bring home pennies that he had placed on the tracks and subsequently flattened. Maybe just because they were always going somewhere, and it was important. But no matter what, my love of trains has never subsided. Enjoy!
